Learn to swim this summer at the Family Aquatic Center!

Beginner Adult Swim Lessons

Have you ever wanted to learn to swim, but you don’t feel comfortable taking lessons now that you are an adult? Don’t let age stop you!We will focus on the basics – water entry, front/back floats and breathing.

Adult Stroke Improvement

Work on perfecting individual swim strokes. Focus on rotary breathing, proper body position and efficient movements.

Student Instruction: Swim Students need to be 5 minutes early to each class.

Observation: As a courtesy to the instructors, parents are not allowed on swimming deck area. Parents are reminded that this is a continuous program and each child will develop at his/her own rate.

Inclement Weather: Swim lesson participants will be inside and watch a swim/water safety video during bad weather.

Refund Policy: The Park District policy for lessons does not accept refund, transfers, or letters of credit after the 2nd day of class. For information on our refund policy, please refer to APD General Policies. There will be no make-up lessons for cancelled classes.
