Addison Park District - Spring Events

CLOVER HUNT: Saturday, March 16, 2013

Come out and enjoy a fun-filled day to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Search for hundreds of clovers with special treats in a field of green inside Centennial Rec Center. Find the 4-leaf clover and win a special gift.  The hunt begins promptly at 10:00 a.m.  Make sure to wear your best St. Patrick's Day attire for this event!

MOVIE IN THE GYM: February 22: Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Dog Days; April 5: Wreck-it-Ralph

Bring your family and a blanket or lawn chairs to Centennial Gym and enjoy a movie on the big screen. Admission to the movie is free and concessions such as popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase.

5K SPRING SHUFFLE: Sunday, April 14, 2013
2013 RACE RESULTS:
OVERALL Times, Times by AGE

Join us for a timed race on a USATF-certified course.  1st and 2nd place male and female finishers in each age group will receive an award. Age groups are as follows: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older. Packet pick-up will be held one day prior to the event at Club Fitness/ Centennial Rec Center, 1776 W. Centennial Place.

EASTER EGG HUNT & PANCAKE BREAKFAST: Saturday, March 23, 2013

This year enjoy hot-off-the-griddle pancakes before the Easter Egg Hunt, with the Easter Bunny! The Easter Egg Hunt is free to all participants 10 years of age and younger.  The pancake breakfast, sponsored by Addison Kiwanis Club, begins at 8:00 a.m. and continues until 11:30 a.m.  The breakfast menu includes 'all you can eat' pancakes, sausage, milk, orange juice and coffee for a donation to Addison Kiwanis Club. Bring your own camera for pictures of your child with the Easter Bunny between 8:30 - 10 a.m.  Be sure to arrive early as the Egg Hunt begins promptly at 10:30 a.m. and ends just minutes later!

INDOOR GARAGE SALE:
Saturday, April 13 - 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Whether you are in search of children's toys, jewelry, lamps, books or CDs, you will find bargains galore at this fast-growing, treasure-filled sale at Centennial Rec Center. Concessions will be available for purchase during the sale. Sellers must pre-register for 1 or 2 eight-foot tables. Someone must be present at the table the entire time. VENDORS are NOT allowed at this sale.
