Junior High Dances!

Code: 20513 Friday, January 21, 6:30-9 p.m.
Location: Centennial Rec Center Gym
Fee: $7 at the door– ID required!

Calling all teens! Have a blast dancing the night away or playing basketball with your friends. All junior high dances will be held at the Centennial Recreation Center Gymnasium.

Fee & Times: The cost is just $7 and each dance runs from 6:30- 9:00 p.m. Children must be picked up outside PROMPTLY by 9:00 p.m. There will be no supervision for children after 9:00 p.m. Concessions will be available for an additional fee.

Students must present their Jr. High ID cards for entrance. Parochial school students must have a “Jr. High Dance” ID card in order to enter the dance. These ID cards can be processed at either of our facilities by 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the dance. IDs will not be made the day of the dance. No one will be permitted to enter the dance without a proper ID card – no exceptions!

OVERNIGHT SKI/SNOWBOARD

Grab all your friends, and prepare to have a blast skiing all night! Travel the slopes of Chestnut Mountain WI from Midnight to 6:00 a.m. Note: Food and soda will be available in the lodge all night and a D.J. will be playing from 2:00-5:00 a.m. Make sure you register early, space is limited.

TEEN WILMONT MOUNTAIN SKI TRIP

Grab your friends and go skiing on Wilmont Mountain. This trip is perfect for all abilities, Wilmont mountain is designed for the beginner, intermediate & advanced skiers. Note: fee includes: transportation and chaperone. Please bring money for ski rental, lift ticket, food and a $15.00 returnable deposit for ski/snowboard rental.

Do your last minute holiday shopping at one of the biggest malls in Chicagoland. Transportation is provided. Please bring money for food and shopping. Bring your best friends along for great post holiday sales.

TEEN BOWLING TOURNAMENT AT STARDUST

Grab some friends and let’s go bowling! Have fun in two person teams against your friends. We will bowl 3 games and the last game will get crazy! Sign up by January 15.

TEEN JOB PREP

Are you ready to start working? Prepare for your first job or improve your skills for future employment opportunities. We will show you where to search for jobs, how to fill out an application, how to interview and proper behavior at the workplace. Participants in the class will have the opportunity to apply for any current positions applicable after this class. This may also apply to be a jr. counselor for our summer day camp program.

BABYSITTING CERTIFICATION

Want to become a better babysitter? You will learn problem solving skills, emergency procedures, how to care for children and infants. Join us for a class in babysitting skills and techniques. Participants will learn personal safety guidelines, home security, fire safety, child care, and basic first aid. At the completion of this class participants will receive a certification certificate for successfully completing the program. Registration is limited to 30 participants. This class is recommended for individuals who want to care for children. You will be amazed how much your child will learn.

TEEN FLASHLIGHT EGG HUNT

Try our first ever teen flashlight Egg Hunt. We will hide the eggs and teens will use their flashlights to find them. Have fun searching for eggs. Find the special golden egg and win an extra surprise! Registration deadline is April 12.

TEEN ESPN ZONE TRIP

Enter into the ESPN Zone in downtown Chicago, where you’ll find 10,000 sq. ft. of interactive sports oriented video games, 150 TVs & food! On this trip you’ll have a great time playing games, eating, watching sports, and socializing with your friends. Unlimited 3 hour game play, lunch buffet, watching all the sports games on TV and transportation. Registration deadline is 1/15.

TEEN COLLEGE TOURS

Looking at different colleges? Unsure of what the Illinois colleges and Universities have to offer? Come and find the answers to all your questions. Check out Illinois State University, University of Illinois and Illinois Wesleyan on our first trip. On our second trip we will explore Elmhurst Community College, College of DuPage, North Central College and Northern University. Grab a friend, leave your parents at home and see what college is really like. Transportation is provided. Sign up for one or both dates. Bring money for lunch and snacks.
